SciFi and Fantasy Art: Legacy

No one did a first comment dance yet, so I gotta: *dances like it's 1986*. Okay. I'm loving her dress and her posture!!! She seems so inwardly satisfied. And who wouldn't, withg wings like those!! Great stuff - I really enjoy its asymmetry :]

I really adore the colours; the textures in the background as well as the placement of that symbol/wires looks really nice. The contrast of the white makes it very powerful!

this is by far my favorite picture that i have seen in this whole place.
I don't really have any words. But it is so beautiful.

the dress, the Dress, *all out sob* THE DRESS IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!! I'm replicating that for my wedding gown!

Those are some eye catching colours. The thing I notice about them are that the pure white of the angel makes the background look deeper and earthier while the rusty old background makes the angel look crisper and more pristine.
One of the wings is larger than the other but it's negligible because it helps balance out the pattern on the wall.

To me it seems a picture of contrast and duality, with the interwoven cross linking the different elements together. A very interesting theme as the cross is often interpreted as representing a connection between heaven and earth.

Most of all it's a very cool painting. : p
